I am a contemporary dance artist based in Norfolk. As a dance teacher I am passionate that dance is for everyone. I have experience of teaching dancers of every age in a variety of community settings and have seen the physical, social and emotional benefits that dance brings. As a choreographer I enjoy creating pieces which explore aspects of identity.
I trained in Contemporary dance, graduating with a BA Hons degree from De Montfort University, Leicester in 1998. Since then I have worked as a performer, choreographer, teacher and community dance artist. I work with dancers of all ages and abilities. From my youngest participant at 3 months to the oldest at 98 years old, I am interested in how dance can generated using the strengths and character of the individual. I have directed and choreographed for several intergenerational projects and am interested in nurturing the movement relationships revealed by the mixture of ages and experience.
I love being in cahoots with other dancers and artists, whatever their background. Follow me on my In Cahoots facebook page!
